Sega's hotly anticipated Phantasy Star Online has been delayed in its home-land for another month. The game originally penned for August 8th has now been scheduled for a September 12th release. Taking advantage of the extra time, Sonic Team will be extending Network Trials until August 19th, hopefully making the effort to refine any of the rough edges that have blighted previous games. While those canny Japanese get a modem bundled with the game, Phantasy Star's fate in Europe remains something of a mystery. Inadequate broadband support means the game may arrive to these shores as: Phantasy Star Off-line.

However, we'll wait and see. More news as it comes - preferably in my direction.
