Two Nintendo classics are heading to a Virtual Console near you!

The Australian ratings board has just rated both Super Mario Kart and Pilotwings for PAL release on the Wii's Virtual Console download service.

The SNES edition of Mario Kart is still considered by some to be the pinnacle of the series (at least until Mario Kart Wii came along, anyway), while Pilotwings also became a cult classic, spawning a much-loved N64 sequel.

While there still is no firm release date for these two top SNES titles, the fact that both have been rated means they are definitely on the way - and sooner rather than later. We'll keep our ears to the ground for more info as soon as it breaks.
