News: Piracy On Gamecube?

When developing the Gamecube, Nintendo opted for a mini DVD as support, instead of the standard sized discs, mainly as an anti piracy measure. Until now, it proved to be successful, with piracy virtually non-existent on the Nintendo machine. This allowed the Big N to have good profits from software in spite of relatively low hardware sales.
But now the warez group called Starcube released the ISOs (disk images) of some Gamecube games over the net, downloadable from warez private ftps. Luckily these bootleg copies cannot be played yet on a real console after being recorded to a mini DVD, but some sort of hacks to allow them to be played on an actual Gamecube are probably on the way.
Obviously the possession and the distribution of these ISOs is illegal.
