News: Pirates Clash With Ninjas In Wii Dodgeball

Remember the five D's of dodgeball: Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and SHURIKEN! The Pirates meet their match in the stealthy ninjas in a new Wii dodgeball game.
Pirates vs. Ninjas is an age-old internet meme (older than ever-popular Rickrolling) which focuses on the simple yet rather open question of which fearsome rabble would win in a fight against the other one. Some of our favourite fictional characters are pirates: Captain Jack Sparrow, Patchy the Pirate from SpongeBob... And then there's Christopher Nolan's ninja Batman, so it's a level playing field for us.
Developers Blazing Lizards couldn't cope with the unknowing, so they created Pirates Vs. Ninjas Dodgeball for the Wii to settle the ancient debate. The game does exactly what it says on the tin - there are 8 players on each side and 7 teams to choose from, including pirates, ninjas, robots and zombies, as well as three mystery groups. Each team has different techniques and strategies, and the aim is to pulverise everyone on the other team with your trusty balls.
Says Harry Miller, El Presidente of publishers Gamecock Media Group, "The competition between the Pirates and the Ninjas is so huge that battles are breaking out all over. We're happy to bring this grand conflict to the Wii, and give players the chance to help determine who the ultimate champions are."
The Wii version features exclusive story and challenge modes not seen in the Xbox Live Arcade version, along with several customisable control schemes.
Pirates Vs. Ninjas Dodgeball is coming to Wii this winter. In the meantime, check out the game's official site for wallpapers, piratey MP3s and other game-related media.
