The popular tower defence game Plants vs. Zombies will be making its way onto the DS early next year.

Plants vs. Zombies may have only been released for PCs and Macs last year but since then it has been ported onto the iPhone and Xbox Live and has been hugely successful, becoming PopCap Games' biggest selling title to date.

The tower defence title pits, as you may have guessed, plants against zombies as different types of plants must defend the residents of their house from having their brains eaten by zombies. The title is due to be released on the DS in January 2011 in America and will feature all the game modes of the original along with new material, although specific details have yet to be announced.

The title will also be available for a budget price of $20 in America, so presumably it will be a similarly cheap price in Europe whenever it is released. We have included the official music video below for your viewing pleasure.
