Over 5 million Japanese gamers have caught 'em all, or at least caught some.

In spite of being over ten years old the Pokémon franchise isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Pokémon Black & White were released in Japan in September and have become the fastest selling games on the DS.

Since their release Pokémon Black & White have sold over 5 million units, 5,036,724 to be exact according to a Famitsu article translated by GoNintendo.

With the games due for an American and European release in early March it will be interesting to see if they continue their success.
