News: Pokémon Game Announced!

A Pokémon game has been announced for the GameCube, and it's not what people expected!

Koro Koro, a monthly Japanese magazine, has just released a new issue, showcasing the new GameCube game. Titled Pokémon Box: Ruby & Sapphire, a game add-on to help you with Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, available on GBA.

The game will require you to link up with the GBA versions via a GBA Cable. In the game you can view the abilities of all your Pokémon, organize your Pokémon, and arrange Pokémon Pieces in your favorite settings to show your collection to your friends.

Two versions of the game will hit the shelves. The first contains the game and a memory card 59 for 2000 yen (�15/�11) and the second contains the game, a memory card 59 and a GBA Cable for 2800 yen (�22/�15). The memory card 59 will have a different design compared to the normal ones. Both versions will be available on 30th May in Japan, no American or European releases have been announced.

    In related news the GBA Pokémon games, Ruby and Sapphire have been given a European release of July 25th, much earlier than the anticipated September release.

    Update:
    In the latest Famitsu new details have arisen. It states that the game also allows you to play Ruby and Sapphire on the television without the use of the GB Player. This is similar to the mode found in the original Pokémon Stadium games on the N64.
