News: Pokémon Platinum Dated!

Europe, are you ready to catch 'em all again? You better be since the date for Pokémon Platinum has now been revealed by Nintendo! New features included!

The remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl now has an official release date for Europe including some extras to try and twist the arms of Pokémon to make another purchase in the long running series. Pokémon Platinum is set to have a 22nd May release.

Extra features that the game will provide that Poké fans will notice is the new winter wardrobe while becoming the Pokémon Master of Sinnoh, where the adventure will be set. Obviously Diamond and Pearl owners will be able to transfer their favourite Pokémon, like from the previous games, including the Pokémon Shaymin which will allow you to unlock its Sky form giving it new powers. Another addition to the game is that a 'Distortion World' is included that allows you to go around, ignoring time and space.

Finally, after you've completed the main adventure you can go over to Battle Frontiers for some nice little extras. Wi-Fi battles will once again be present in the game along with a revamped Global Trade Station: now called the Global Terminal, where Poké Trainers can exchange Pokémon and videos of battles, you can even play mini-games together!
