Battles of Prince of Persia

News: Prince Of Persia Shows His Hand

The DS incarnation of Prince of Persia will feature a new style of gameplay! Sit tight, as it probably isn't what you were expecting...

In a radical change to the series, the familiar action/adventure gameplay will be overhauled to feature a card-based battle system. Players will control units and troops within a familiar "Tactics" interface and via the card-based system, using rules created specially for this game.

The title's graphics have a new cel-shaded look to them, and among those starring in the game will be familiar characters from Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, as the game will bridge the gap between the two console titles.

In the game, the Prince somehow manages to accidentally start a war between Persia and India, which ends up releasing an ancient evil (as always seems to happen in such titles) while fighting the Dahaka, the baddie which some readers may remember from Warrior Within.

Single player campaigns are to be complemented by multiplayer action, which will see the DS system's single cartridge wireless feature being used to allow head-to-head battles, as well as a hot shot (single DS) mode like Advance Wars. Card-trading will also be availiable between two copies of the game by wi-fi.
