Professor Kageyama's Maths Training

News: Prof. Kageyama Talks Maths Training

A double whammy of mathematical goodness! Professor Kageyama has recently taken part in an interview with Nintendo of Europe about his Maths Training game for the DS.

Professor Hideo Kageyama, literally a Japanese mathematical genius, has recently spoken to Nintendo of Europe about his involvement in Professor Kageyama's Maths Training: The Hundred Cell Calculation Method (developed by Jupiter, the masterminds behind the wonderfully addictive Picross DS).

The amazingly clever professor speaks about his Hundred Cell Calculation method, the use of software in aid of education, Maths Training's reception in Europe and the large amount of adults using his software.

NOE: Do you have a message for European users of the software?

HK: It makes me very happy that exercises developed in Japan, including the Hundred Cell Calculation and Division Marathon methods, will be put to good use by users in Europe. But I must also take this opportunity to give proper credit to the incredibly talented educators who originally developed these teaching methods Hiroshi Kishimoto for the Hundred Cell method and Shunichi Miki for the Division Marathon (Hard) method.

I would love to have users experience the fun of learning together with this software.

The rest of the interview is very interesting and can be found here. Professor Kageyama's Maths Training: The Hundred Cell Calculation Method is out now for the Nintendo DS.
