The Professor Layton series has shipped in excess of 11 million copies.

Since the release of the first Professor Layton title a few years ago it has grown to become one of the DS' most successful franchises. Andriasang report that Level-5 has announced the four DS titles have shipped 11.47 million units worldwide, which does not include the upcoming 3DS title Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask.

To celebrate the completion of Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask Level-5 will host a live webcast on February 24th between 19:00 and 21:00 (JST). The webcast will introduce the game and feature the voice cast and Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino, who recently participated in the Iwata Asks series.

The stream will be held through Ustream and while the URL is not currently known it will be announced on the official site shortly.
