After the recent rumours about the PSP price point, we can now safely announce the official news. The PSP will be available in Japan on December 12th, with a price point of 19,800 yen - $185.

The main pack, will come with a battery pack and a AC Adapter. But Sony is going to launch a value pack at 24,800 yen - $232. This will additionally include a 32MB Memory Stick-Duo, a set of headphones with remote control and a carrying case. The battery life will be something like be 4-6 hours for gameplay and 4-5 hours for movies.

Also, Sony went to say that the PSP's wireless connection can reach up to 120 meters, for outdoor gaming and 30 meters for indoor gaming under the IEEE802.11b standard, using 11Mbps transfer rate.
