Wii Play Motion

News: Put Some Motion in Your Play from June

Wii Play: Motion has been given a European release date of 24th June.

Since the release of the Nintendo Wii one of the most successful titles has been Wii Play and now Nintendo are looking to update the title so that it features Motion Plus support. Wii Play: Motion will be bundled with a red Wii Remote Plus when it is released in Europe on June 24th.

The title features twelve mini-games that utilise the Remote in a variety of ways. Two previous mini-games had been confirmed but now a few others have been outlined by Nintendo. As we reported yesterday each of the mini games have been created by a separate development company after deciding what they should be in-house.

'Wind Runner', which was seen when the game was announced recently, places your Mii on roller-skates and gives them an umbrella to help carry them along a race course. Players must angle their Remote to change direction, jump and increase speed. 'Spooky Search' is a mini-game for friends playing in a group as up to four players use their Remotes to track down wayward spirits. The Remote's speaker is used to track down ghosts and you must point away from the screen to find them. Once a ghost has been found you must drag it back onto the screen.

Other mini-games include 'Skip Skimmer', which requires you to skim rocks along a lake and try and hit a target, 'Treasure Twirl', in which the Remote acts as a winch to collect deep-sea treasures, and 'Cone Zone' in which you must balance ice cream scoops.

Expect more details about what to expect from the title soon.
