News: RARE Hints At Future 3DS Development

The legendary studio refuses to rule out working on the 3DS in future...
Despite being under the ownership of Microsoft since 2002, former second-party Nintendo studio Rare has continued to develop games for the Big N's handhelds. Nintendo fans have seen such games as It's Mr. Pants, Diddy Kong Racing DS and Viva Piata: Pocket Paradise this side of Microsoft's acquisition.
Though the company is now busy developing Kinect software, a recent blog post answering the questions of gamers addressed the prospect of heading back to developing on Nintendo handhelds.
"Banjo-3DSie confirmed! Although by confirmed I do mean 100% utterly speculative. We haven't done much in the handheld 'space' since DKR DS and Pocket Paradise could we dip our toes in again at some point? Possibly. 3DS? Not for me to say. Bandai WonderSwan? No."
Obviously we'd have to wait for Rare to pry themselves away from Kinect before they really considered 3DS development, but weirder things have happened.
