News: Rare Still 'Brilliant' With Nintendo

Rare still have "brilliant" relations with Nintendo, according to one Rare employee.

Interviewed on GameTrailers.com, one employee of Rare gave an insight into the company at present. Currently working on Banjo Threeie, sequel to the popular duo of Banjo titles for the N64, the studio is also "going to continue" with the Viva Piata series.

Asked how Rare's relationship with Nintendo was now, some years after their infamous purchase by Microsoft, it was said that the developer had "a brilliant relationship with Nintendo still", and that though the Xbox 360 was less family friendly in general than Nintendo consoles, it was "interesting to be doing the same thing [family friendly games] on Xbox 360".

So how will the company change without the Stampers in charge? "I don't think it'll be too bad. All our old directors are still there ... We're all still the same old group."
