The second playable character in Resident Evil 4 has been announced, and in the usually correct way, it's a girl.

After Leon rescues the President's daughter Ashley in the game she becomes playable according to recent news. When she is found she is accompanied by a mysterious man, but details of him are unknown.

The first challenge Ashley and Leon will come across is a group of black caped men. They are a religous group who wish to capture Ashley and use her for some religious ceremony.

Leon can carry Ashley, but it limits his abilities to dodging and running away.

Some other information regarding the game has been released. During the game handguns, rocket launchers, machine guns, grenades and sniper rifles can be used to defeat enemies. However, the first boss Leon encounters is invulnerable to handgun and machine guns.
