Studio notable for its Wii titles suffered a cancellation of a big project...

Texas-based developer Red Fly Studio has confirmed that it has terminated the employment of around 30 people. Studio CEO Dan Borth told GameSpot the decision to downsize was put upon Red Fly by the unexpected cancellation of a "large, high-profile project" that was yet to be announced.

Red Fly has made a name for itself this generation by putting out a number of well-received Wii titles. It was responsible for the Nintendo-exclusive Mushroom Men, and developed the Wii versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and Ghostbusters: The Video Game - both of which garnered higher praise than their HD counterparts. Most recently, the studio developed the Wii version of the Thor video game.
