How come there aren't more games supporting MotionPlus? Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime responds...
While last year's Wii Sports Resort continues to sell well, there are only a handful of other titles currently in development which will utilise the included Wii-mote attachment - Ubisoft's Red Steel 2, and Nintendo's own Fling Smash, and upcoming new Zelda title.
Where are all the other games? Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils-Aime told MTV Multiplayer:
"There's tremendous support for Wii MotionPlus. First, what I would highlight is that Wii Sports Resort continues to sell exceptionally well. In addition to that you're seeing some fantastic third party support. Red Steel 2 is about to come out. And from a first party perspective we showed Fling Smash. There are more titles that are coming, it continues to be a core part of what we do. But I guess what's unique with Nintendo is we don't force our developers to stick to a particular type of control scheme ... it's all about what's right for the game."
