Nintendo of America's iconic president Reggie-Fils Aime was recently interviewed on PlayStation Move, upcoming Wii releases and whether we really can expect Zelda this year...
After bursting into our collective conscious a few years ago at E3 Reggie Fils-Aime, typically affectionately known as just Reggie, has become more than just Nintendo of America's president, he's become an icon for Nintendo fans. IGN have recently interviewed him about several things that are no doubt on the mind of Nintendo fans right now.
When asked about the recently unveiled PlayStation Move motion controller he went from joking; "So, if imitation is the most sincere form of flattery then I am blushing I'm so flattered." to cutting; "I think the key question is, how will they respond when we continue to innovate if this is their best effort?"
With E3 just a few months away a lot of discussion focused on the show, and what we can expect from Nintendo. Discussing what to expect Reggie stated, "I've learned that it's not to Nintendo's advantage for us to foreshadow what we're going to have at E3 because even the smallest little hint or perspective gets blown out to huge proportions." For anyone that remembers 'Megaton' that's quite an understatement.
When asked about Zelda Reggie remained tight-lipped but did comment that it won't be released until Mr. Miyamoto feels it is ready and "hopefully, hopefully it's going to be a title that we can bring to market this year.
Reggie also spoke confidently about the future of the Wii and DS, in spite of sales figures dipping recently and what to expect from E3, although it was mostly him saying "we'll have a conversation at E3."
