News: Reggie Pledges End To Software Crisis

Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime has said that the current U.S. software production bottleneck will be fixed.
It has been revealed that the current level of software production for the Wii is stuck in a bottleneck, with some third-parties worried they will be unable to get their software on store shelves in time for the Christmas period - with Midway complaining publicly about the problem earlier this week.
The problem lies in the sheer demand for Wii software, and the Wii itself, which a year after launch is still hard to find.
Reggie Fils-Aime has promised that the issue will be resolved:
"As every publisher talks about shifting over to Wii it's creating this crush of production right now at our factories for software. What we've done is to ramp that capacity up and work with the publishers to ensure that their best titles get into the marketplace and [they] have a productive holiday. This is a very short-term situation that is effectively going to be resolved in a course of three week's time."
Its important to note however, that three weeks time will miss the traditional Black Monday start of the holiday sales period in America. It seems incredible that Nintendo are still struggling to meet demand.
