News: Renegade Kid Bringing Mudds, More to E3

The always-quality Texas-based studio might be worth keeping an eye this E3...
Renegade Kid is the sort of developer that diligently churns out (mainly) quality titles yet never really receives much big recognition. There wasn't a whole lot of buzz when the team unveiled Maximillian and the Rise of the Mutant Mudds in 2009, for instance. The game was set to be a Super Mario Sunshine inspired 3D platformer with its sights set on the DSiWare service.
Development of the game was put on hiatus a while ago, but recent weeks have seen Renegade tease the return of Mutant Mudds. Its eponymous hero Maximilian occupies his own teaser site as a pixelated sprite, suggesting a totally new style of game to what you observe in the above video.
Renegade Kid's co-founder and director Jools Watsham continues to drop hints about the game. Mutant Mudds is set to reveal its revamped self next month, but that might not be all Renegade Kid has to offer in LA, with Watsham tweeting:
"The Muddy bomb (and more) will be dropped at E3."
The team has been busy working on off-road motorsport sim ATV: Wild Ride for Nintendo DS and customisable racer Face Kart: Photo Finish for 3DS, but we just might see something new if we're lucky.
Renegade Kid's horror sequel Dementium II is also due to release on DS in Europe this year.
