Renegade Kid's much-teased 'Dracula'-themed title is unfortunately shelved...

Well this is a bummer. Many of you may remember a while back the developer of hit DS titles Moon and Dementium tease a brand new project. The game - which many assumed was a Wii title - had a flavour of Dracula to it, and now we must sadly report that this one will not be flying out of the cave any time soon.

Posting on their website, Renegade Kid have confirmed that the game was titled Son of the Dragon but production has been halted indefinitely - essentially a cancellation. The project was signed to publisher Gamecock in 2008, but Renegade Kid still hold the IP rights to Son of the Dragon, so we may see a return for the game some time in the future.

The developer promises that they have a 'new secret game' which will be announced in 2009, so hopefully that one will last longer than Son of the Dragon.
