News: Resident Evil 4 Action Figures

You've played the game... now buy the action figures?

The National Entertainment Collectibles Association, today announced a new licensing agreement with Capcom to create action figures based on characters from the hit survival horror videogame, Resident Evil 4.

Hiroshi Tobisawa, president of Capcom Entertainment said “Capcom is pleased to work with NECA, a market leading action figure maker that truly understands the horror genre. We look forward to seeing the characters from our highly acclaimed Resident Evil 4 game come to life as NECA unveils the first series of these figures.”

NECA President, Joel Weinshanker responded “It is an incredible honour to be chosen by Capcom to create a line of figures representing the definitive horror game. Capcom has created a game that has blurred the lines between cinema and gaming. We are very fortunate to work with our generation's theatrical visionaries, and we feel that this opportunity bolsters our lineup of products. We look forward to creating a 3-D toy universe worthy of their brilliance,”

Prototypes of the Resident Evil 4 action figures will be on display at the Capcom booth during E3 in Los Angeles from May 18th to May 20th. The first series of action figures is slated for a November release in America.
