News: Resident Evil 4 Still Exclusive

Good news regarding Resident Evil 4 for the Gamecube. Come on in, we don't bite, I promise.

A number of rumours went flying around not so long ago that Capcoms latest chapter in its survival horror series would lose exclusivity to the GameCube and be seen across all formats. Of course, this was a big disappointment for many Nintendo fans after having already lost "Dead Phoenix" one of the other Capcom "5" titles due for release.

Various reasons were cited as basis for these rumours: disappointing sales of Resident Evil: Zero and the poorly "updated" Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Nemesis -which seemed frighteningly credible at the time.

However, Capcom were recently contacted by IGN Cube for a chance to confirm or deny rumours regarding a multi-platform release. They did not issue a specific statement regarding the game, but a representative of the company has officially said that the game will be wholly exclusive to the Nintendo platform. We asked a Zombie for comment on the story, however, we were unable to obtain one before he walked sluggishly towards us and tried to eat our brains...
