News: Rogue Ops Delayed, With Reason

Rogue Ops: Phoenix Unleashed has been delayed in Europe to add more languages.

Bellevue, Wash (October 27, 2003) Kemco USA, Inc. today announced that it is adding a number of additional local languages to the European release of its upcoming multi-platform blockbuster, Rogue Ops and will move the European release date to the beginning of February 2004.

Kemco will include 6 unique languages in the versions of Rogue Ops released for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and Nintendo GameCube [English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch] and 5 unique languages in the version released for the Xbox videogame system from Microsoft [English, French, German, Spanish, Italian]. Additionally, Kemco has sourced top vocal talent and will be including English, French and German voice-over speech for the PlayStation2 and Xbox versions of Rogue Ops.

"We are extremely excited about the phenomenal response Rogue Ops has been receiving from the media, retailers and consumers. European gamers have demanded Rogue Ops in their local language and Kemco is responding," enthused Glenn Halseth, Kemco VP Sales and Marketing.

"Unfortunately, the complexities of adding these additional languages and voice-overs have required additional development and testing time. However, the importance of this title to Kemco's lineup means that we are taking the time to 'do it right'," noted Michitada Futami, President of Kemco. "We feel that the gamers will find that the delay [to February 2004] is more than offset by the benefit of being able to play Rogue Ops in their native tongue."

Kemco has also localised the Rogue Ops official web site, www.rogueops.com, into multiple languages [English, French, German, Spanish, Italian] to offer the interactive experience to as many as possible.

In Rogue Ops, Kemco exposes the underground world of anti-terrorist operatives. Rocked from normality by an explosion that claimed her daughter and husband, ex-Green Beret Nikki Connors exploits her new role as leading lady to further her personal quest for vengeance. After receiving two years of intense training for the most covert of assignments, she is unleashed upon her nemesis, Omega 19, the most sinister terrorist organisation on the globe and a cancerous threat to the free world.

Rogue Ops remains on track for a late October release in North America on all three platforms.
