Atari makes official a 3DS-exclusive RollerCoaster Tycoon game!

Publisher Atari has officially confirmed a new RollerCoaster Tycoon game for Nintendo 3DS in 2012.

Imaginatively dubbed RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D, it will be the first time the popular amusement park management simulation releases on a handheld. The game has been given its own Facebook page with a few details, though nothing new from what we already know.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D will feature modes such as Coaster Story, which shows players the ropes as they progress through a narrative; Coaster Creation, which presumably allows you to create your own rides using the touchscreen; and Park Sandbox - the classic, open-ended option that series veterans will be familiar with. The game also lets you share your creations using the 3DS' "network capabilities".

The title is being developed by n-Space - creators of Geist and the the upcoming 3DS RPG Heroes of Ruin.
