Marvelous opens the official Japanese website for Neversoft's next expansive RPG...

If you loved the cult-hit, life-sim/RPG Rune Factory Frontier, then slam Rune Factory Oceans on your radar. The official website for the game has just opened, and while it's in Japanese, Andriasang sheds some light on the game's plot.

The main protagonists of the game are male and female childhood friends Azel and Sonia. When the pair are mysteriously transported to a unknown world inhabited by spirits and monsters, Azel finds himself on his own, before learning that Sonia is now inexplicably in his head. It's understood this concept forms the first part of the game, and that the characters will eventually be separated into their own bodies so players can control both.

Otherwise, is seems Oceans will remain pretty faithful to the Rune Factory style, mixing combat with farming. Players will also be able to marry and start a life with other NPCs.

Rune Factory Oceans releases on Wii in Japan early next year.
