Telltale Games have at long last confirmed the existence of Sam & Max for the Wii.

We've had rumours. We've had talk from the developers that it's an idea that interests them. We've had unofficial publisher confirmation, and we've had rumours yet again. Sam & Max is a game that we all knew was coming to the Wii, but it was just lacking that official confirmation. Today, Telltale Games have finally announced that we'll be investigating comical crime scenes on the Wii with Sam and Max later this year.

Speaking to Gamespot, Telltale said that the game will be a disc-based compilation of Season 1 of Sam & Max (which will include all six episodes starring the anthropomorphic dog and bunny duo). The Wii release of Sam & Max is due to fan demand for the game, and a large email campaign which was started to get the series on the Wii. Dreamcatcher and The Adventure Company will be publishing the compilation in the US, whilst JoWood will be handling the European release.

Sam & Max Season 1 is expected to be released in the autumn. Let's hope we'll see Season 2 at some point as well!
