Nintendo's President Satoru Iwata is to present one of keynote speeches at next month's GDC event in San Francisco.
Next month's Game Developers Conference marks the conference's 25th year and Satoru Iwata is to present one of the keynote speeches entitled "Video Games Turn 25: A Historical Perspective and Vision for the Future". There's a good chance that Iwata will mention Mario's own 25th anniversary that took place last year. The event, which runs from February 28 to March 4, brings together many of the key players from the industry and has been the source of Nintendo announcements in the past.
In 2005 Iwata spoke about the Nintendo Wii for the first time, then called the Revolution, and the following year he spoke about disrupting development within the industry. In 2009 he used the opportunity to announce The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
"We are honoured and pleased to welcome Mr Iwata back to the keynote stage for our 25th conference. Nintendo continues to innovate and captivate developers and gamers alike, and we're looking forward to their unique insights into both the history and future of the game business."- GDC director Meggan Scavio
