News: Scarface Coming To Consoles

Vivendi Universal is to bring Scarface to gaming fans, promising a game that truely captures the essence of the popular film.
Vivendi Universal have announced that a game based on the film Scarface is set to launch in Autumn 2005. The game will let you play as Tony Montana in a world filled with greed and crime.
"The treacherous world of Scarface is a natural property to translate into a cinematic game play experience," said Michael Pole, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Studios for Vivendi Universal Games. "The game will feature cutting-edge technology, a compelling storyline and the unprecedented experience of playing as one of Hollywood's most notorious gangsters, Tony Montana."
"Scarface was a landmark film and has inspired countless movies and games," said Bill Kispert, vice president of Interactive at Universal Studios Consumer Products Group. "Having the chance to now bring gamers the authentic experience is an opportunity and challenge we are looking forward to."
Vivendi Universal have hired screenwriter David McKenna to authentically replicate the film and create a true gaming experience. Gamers are promised to be able to travel through Miami, the irie islands of the Florida Keys, the Bahamas during the game.
No consoles have been announced yet however, so it is not currently known if it is coming to the GameCube but if it is we'll let you know.
