Scooby and the rest of Mystery Inc are once again happily going about their life until a mystery gets in the way. They're only teenagers, give them a break!
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have licenced the rights to a new Scooby Doo game, currently in development by THQ. The game will be available for all the current consoles and the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS.
Adam West, best known for playing Batman many years ago, has agreed to do voice work for the game. His history in voice work will probably help for when he lends his voice to the game's main villain, Winslow Stanton.
As well as Adam West the cartoon cast will be working on the game, lending their voices. Effects from the cartoons, such as canned laughter and catch phrases, will also be heard during the game.
"Scooby-Doo! Unmasked captures the appeal of one of the most enduring and beloved characters of several generations," said Germaine Gioia, vice president of licensing, THQ. "Releasing this title into a vibrant mass market gaming audience means that more fans than ever before have the opportunity to experience a fun Scooby-Doo game that can be enjoyed by kids and parents alike."
During the game Scooby and the Mystery Inc. team will go to visit Fred's cousin Jeb, who works on monster movies. When they get there however they find Jeb is nowhere to be found, and the movie's animatronics have got out of hand!
Along the way Scooby has apparently acquired Kung Fu abilities, which he will be able to use to defeat the masked villains who may face him. The game will feature three large worlds, with multiple levels and mini-games in them.
