When the 3DS is released next year in Japan gamers can look forward to hunting down Death Gods, known as Shinigami in Japan, in the new title from Digital Works Entertainment. The company, previously responsible for mobile phone games, are looking to move into the console business starting with this action horror title according to Siliconera.

Shinigami Oni takes place in a complex metropolis in which you search for Shinigami. Digital Works Entertainment indicate that the game will be focused on the fact that people fear death, even at times when they accept its inevitability. We'll keep you updated about the title as news breaks.
