News: Secrets Of Wii 'Friend Code' Revealed

One code per console plus an Address Book!

While this really isn't "news", so to speak, this is just the confirmation that will see millions of Nintendo fans around the World breathe a huge sigh of relief.

The Wii will feature one Console-specific friendcode, rather than the DS friendcode system which saw us using one different code per game. The code has now been called a "Wii Number", as it really represents the specific code for each console.

To add to that, there will also be an "Address Book" feature on the Wii Menu, which will allow us to add/register a friend.

To register a friend you have to be connected to the Internet. Next you tap in their nickname then enter the Wii Number for their console or, if your friend is on a PC or cell phone, you enter their email address.Keep in mind that to register another person as a Wii Friend, both of you need to register each other.

So, that's pretty much all there is to it. By visiting your address book, you can add your friends "Wii Number", and...that will be that. You can relax now, the wait is over.
