Sega have appointed a new Marketing Executive to their Management Team, in the hope he can help with US sales.

Sega of America have hired Scott A. Steinberg to be the new Marketing Executive of their management team. He will overlook all marketing work in the USA, and report back to the newly appointed president Hideaki Irie.

Steinberg will run the whole marketing work, including creative services, interactive marketing, web development, and public relations.

"Mr. Steinberg is a SEGA veteran who brings a wealth of proven consumer software experience along with sophisticated marketing capabilities on both the strategic and tactical levels," said Hideaki Irie, president and COO of SEGA of America. "We are confident that he will complete our corporate transition and round-out our new management team in North America."

Steinberg has marketing experience stretching sixteen years, including companies such as Roxio, Liquid Audio, Eidos Interactive, and Crystal Dynamics. He has previously worked at Sega, in which he helped market games such as 'Taz-Mania' and 'X-Men'
