News: Sega Bringing Thor: The Video Game

This ain't no Project H.A.M.M.E.R.!

Sega is re-teaming with Marvel to produce next year's Thor movie tie-in game. If you hadn't heard, the Kenneth Brannagh-helmed comic book flick is the latest in the long line of Marvel movies leading up to 2012's Avengers. And it stars Natalie Portman, so that's our ticket sold.

While 360/PS3 versions will be a high-def kettle of fish, the Wii and PSP are being treated to a comic-book graphical style. The DS incarnation meanwhile will be a 2D side-scrolling platformer.

We've got no screens or trailers to show you yet, just these vague snippets of info, a release date (around May 2011, coinciding with the film's release), and a burning hope that Thor: The Video Game turns out better than Sega's other dip into the Marvel universe (yes, we're talking about Iron Man, *shudder*).

More as it breaks, kids.
