News: Sega Dates its 3DS Line-Up

Shinobi, CRUSH3D and 1.5 Sonic titles all have their release dates confirmed...

Sega has solidified the European dates for four of its key 3DS releases - two of them hit next month, while two slip into next year.

First up is the return of the fan-favourite Shinobi series. Shinobi on 3DS features all the side-scrolling ninja action that sneaked the franchise into our hearts. This time around, Sega is pushing the wealth of bonus challenges and achievements to unlock, as well as StreetPass features. Shinobi releases on November 11th.

Just two weeks later, everyone's favourite blue hedgehog sprints onto your 3DS - both in new and old flavours. Sonic Generations may be passing up on Wii, but Sega is making the 3DS iteration well worth it by including a number of StreetPass features. It releases on November 25th.

Moving into next year, and we're greeted with CRUSH3D. Zoe Mode's cult PSP puzzler has been remade for Nintendo's system, and it is probably the most appropriate game conceivable to take advantage of the 3DS' unique selling point. Players have to switch between 2D and 3D perspectives on the fly to reach the end of each brain-bending level. CRUSH3D comes into view on January 13th.

Finally, the behemothic Mario & Sonic series takes its marks on 3DS for the first time next year. Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games features over 50 original, Olympics-themed events. There's plenty to be found that's not in the Wii version, so of you want some athletic gaming on the go, you need look no further when this hits on February 10th.
