News: SEGA Peripheral Support

3rd Party Sega has stated in an interview that they have plans to support some of the Wii peripherals.

President of Sega of America, Simon Jeffery, had an interview with VentureBeat where he got asked if any of the Wii accessories are selling well enough to utilise them in future games. Simon stated Ghost Squad was still selling well, with more titles in the works to make use of the Wii Zapper, same with the hugely popular Wii Balance Board, though they just haven't announced anything regarding it yet.

He also spoke briefly of the newly announced, Wii MotionPlus accessory, saying he was surprised by it, although never mentioned whether or not any titles in development would make use of it. He then stated "They're in the position now of extending the life of the Wii by tinkering with it and improving the accuracy. Nintendo is really good at fixing the chinks its armor."

Perhaps the rumoured Jet Set Radio might have an option for balance board support... Stay with N-Europe for more news and the occasional Sega rumour which will say that a much loved franchise is in development on a next gen system.
