Sega said it will merge with Sammy a maker of pachinko games on Oct. 1. Sammy President Hajime Satomi will lead the merged company, they said in a release.

Sega also slashed its net income profit for its current business year ending March 31 because of weaker that expected U.S sales of its sport video-game titles.
