News: Sega Subsidiaries Shutting Soon

Some of Sega's subsidiaries are soon to shut down their websites to help make sure the company doesn't go bankrupt.

In a rather controversial move that is bound to anger die-hard Sega fans several subsidiaries are to shut down their websites. These include Amusement Visions, who created Super Monkey Ball and Hitmaker, makers of Virtual-On. Other teams such as AM2, makers of Shenmue are to have their websites cut-down.

While this may not seem big it is causing quite a stir, and with anything nowadays on the internet, a lot of rumours. The future is cloudy at best but Sega assure fans that current projects will be completed.

Some rumours suggest that several of Sega's Studio Heads will soon leave. Yuji Naka, Yu Suzuki and Toshihiro Nagoshi have all been named and if these guys go Sega will become a shell of the company it once was.
