MC5's Wayne Kramer, the Sex Pistols and Motorhead have re-recorded several tracks exclusively for Guitar Hero World Tour.
Yesterday, we brought you news that the Smashing Pumpkins will be releasing their new single "G.L.O.W." exclusively as downloadable content for the upcoming fourth installment in the Guitar Hero franchise. Today, Activision confirmed that several rock legends have re-recorded a few of their tracks exclusively for Guitar Hero World Tour.
MC5's lead guitarist and founder Wayne Kramer has teamed up with his original producer Bruce Botnick, Jerry Cantrell from Alice and Chains and former Guns 'N' Roses rocker Gilby Clark to re-record and modernise the 1968 hit "Kick Out The Jams".
The Sex Pistols, who re-recorded "Anarchy In The U.K." for last year's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, have also updated their 1977 classic "Pretty Vacant" for Guitar Hero World Tour. Motorhead have also re-recorded "Overkill", which was included with their 1979 album of the same name, for World Tour.
Guitar Hero World Tour will be rocking out in Europe this November.
