HotHead studios contacted Cube-Europe with a statement confirming plans to release Shadow of the Sun for the Nintendo GameCube. The game was already announced for the PS2 and Xbox.
Tony Charlton, Producer of Shadow of the Sun, told Cube-Europe: "I'm pleased to announce that we are now an official Nintendo developer. HotHead Syudios fully intends to bring Shadow of the Sun to the GameCube, publisher permitting. At the moment we are actively looking for a publisher for the title, but we will push really hard for a Gamecube version. We love the machine to bits and feel that it has some of the most playable and innovative titles out there."
Shadow of the Sun is a story based first person action adventure game set in an alternate universe. The player takes the role of a once powerfull vampire who has been incarcerated for hundreds of years by the Vampire council.
Visited by a haunting vision of a beautiful woman pleading for help he must escape the confines of his prison and set out on a quest which will lead him on a path of love and revenge.
Cube-Europe has the first three Cube images which can be seen by clicking the image below.
Features of the game include numerous vampire abilities to learn and acquire, First-Person Shooter elements, multiple tasks and puzzles to solve, plenty of plot twists and surprises and the ability to play as a wrinkled blood-sucker who looks like a Sleestak from the old Land of the Lost television show.
Last but not least we have two character artwork screens to show off
