The next main entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series is heading to 3DS...

The latest issue of Famitsu has blown the lid (via Andriasang) on something of a coup for 3DS. The next main entry in the cult Shin Megami Tensei series is heading for Nintendo's handheld.

No details of Shin Megami Tensei IV were divulged, but studio Atlus has opened a teaser site for the dungeon crawler.

The Megaten series is no stranger to Nintendo's handhelds as of late. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey - considered by many to be part of the main series - was released exclusively for Nintendo DS, although never came to Europe.

Two spin-off titles - Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked on 3DS and sequel Devil Survivor 2 for DS - are in the process of being localised for Europe courtesy of Ghostlight.
