Companies are always trying to think of ways to make pundits fork out some more money, and do so on the release day. After the success of Halo 2's special edition version it seems that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory will also have a special edition version released.

Due for release in America next March Splinter Cell Chaos Theory offers players much of the same as the previous titles, but better! The limited edition version that has recently been announced however is causing quite a stir.

Due to retail for $54.99 (that's just under �30 or around �40) the limited edition version of the game will be packaged in a metallic case. As well as this it will contain a bonus disc which contains a "Making Of", development diaries of many aspects of the game, trailers, an art gallery and also a Penny Arcade spy training manual.

While it is known that this version will be very rare it is unclear at present if it will make its way to Europe. If not expect overpriced auctions at eBay.
