News: Show Off Your Pokémans in 3D

Iwata has claimed that viewing Pokémon in 3D will be one of the biggest attractions for any 3DS Pokémon title.

With Pokémon Black & White already out in Japan and out next month in America and Europe Nintendo and Game Freak are already hard at work on the next title, which will be released on the 3DS. While no details about the game have been announced yet Nintendo's President Satoru Iwata has commented on it.

Speaking to investors recently Iwata was asked about how Nintendo can intend to bring out a 3D Pokémon title when it has stated children under the age of 6 should not use the 3DS. Iwata rebutted by noting that they merely suggested they not play it in 3D due to potential health risks and many other 2D features would also be of interest to gamers.

"Naturally, we expect 3D viewing to become one of the attractions when the new Pokémon title is released on Nintendo 3DS, but a number of other attractions, which do not depend upon the 3D aspect, shall also be realized. I have no hesitation about the prospect that a Pokémon-franchise title will be released for Nintendo 3DS."

We will have to wait a bit longer to find out what Nintendo have in store for the franchise but it seems it will definitely utilise the 3D functions. What other elements of the 3DS would you like the title to take advantage of?
