Shox

News: Shox for 'Cube

EA have confirmed that the previously PS2-exclusive rally title Shox is coming to the GCN. Shox is EA Europe's first game to fall under the EA Big umbrella.

The arcade racer has been confirmed for the Gamecube alongside the previously announced PlayStation 2 version. According to EA, Shox is a all-out arcade driving extravaganza, akin to Colin McRae Rally.

Shox will offer the player over twenty-four licensed vehicles to drive. An ingeinous points system has been dreamt up by EA Europe which will award skillfull players and punish those who use brawn over brains. It sounds very similar to the Kudos method used in MSR and its sub-sequel, Project Gotham.

According to the game's producer, Neil McEwan, Shox on the GameCube is ''about two weeks behind the PS2 version and it looks really nice. '' The PS2 version has already demoed to acclaim at E3, and news of a Cube version should be welcomed by GC owners.
