The latest issue of Famitsu has announced a new DS installment in the popular city-development series.

Sim City DS is a city-building game created by synSophia Inc. and published by EA Japan (released earlier this year). In the game you are effectively God, and you must create a successful city with the help of your advisors. The DS' touch-screen and microphone functions were utilised well, and Bowser's Castle was even an unlockable monument. A review of the original game written by Hellfire received a solid 7/10, and can be found here.

DS-x2 are reporting that Famitsu have announced a sequel to the original game. A new feature in the sequel will be the addition of civilisation. You will guide your city through prehistoric times, the Middle Ages and through till the modern day, giving it an air of Civilization, the evolutionary game also from EA.
