Reuters reported that Viacom and its book-publishing unit Simon & Chuster decided to sell its games unit, Simons & Chuster Interactive. The companies decided that its games unit was not a core business. S&S spokesman Adam Rothberg affirmed, "We've entered into discussions with potential buyers for the assets of the interactive unit."

S&S currently has no GameCube titles in production. However the company was known for making the titles Outlaw Golf and Darkended Skye for the Nintendo GameCube.
