EA's popular skateboarding title has been inadvertently confirmed for a release on the Wii and DS.

Ah, IGN. It just hasn't been your day. In addition to accidentally confirming that Pandemic Studios are indeed developing a new Batman game, they also appear to have inadvertently announced the impending release of EA's Skate. on the Wii and DS in the form of Skate It.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 games were developed by EA Black Box and released last September in Europe. Whereas Tony Hawk games traditionally see you hammering away at buttons to activate tricks, Skate. requires well-timed flick combinations of the 360 and PS3 analogue sticks to successfully pull off stunts.

Whilst IGN have now taken down the story, we'd imagine that they didn't just write the original article for kicks. Expect to hear more on Skate It for the Wii and DS very soon...
