Previously Japan-only, Square-Enix now plans a US release for this Dragon Quest offshoot starring the ubiquitous Slime.

Nintendo.com now lists the Square-Enix DS action-RPG, Slime MoriMori Dragon Quest, for US release at an undetermined date. The game casts players in the role of the popular little slimes the series has made famous as they wage all kinds of slime warfare. Gameplay shifts from control of a lone, brave slime to coordination of a group of them as they operate a large fully-armed slime fortress.

The Japanese version of the game, Slime MoriMori 2 (sequel to the GBA action RPG that never left Japan), has already raked in solid sales on the dual-screened portable. Hopefully Square's localization efforts will ensure a quality translation of the game's charming humour. For European RPG fans, word has yet to trickle in of similar release plans.
