The newest update on the Smash Bros. Dojo!! site is a cryptic one indeed, showing an unknown enemy threatening the Smash Bros. world...
Classed under the label of "Game Modes", although only listed as "???", the contents of the latest entry in the creator of Smash Bros. Brawl's blog is unusually teasing.
The entry contains screen-shots from what looks like an FMV which show a statue of Mario being thrown into an arena and beginning a fight with Kirby - much like the opening video from the game's GameCube predecessor Meleé. Is this Brawl's opening titles? The accompanying text reads:
In this world, trophies fight.
They know nothing but fighting. Fighting is the sole reason for their existence.
Being turned back into a trophy, being unable to fight, is much like death.
Those are the rules of this world.
But...
When someone... or something... breaks those rules, the world will pay a terrible price...
The entry concludes with Mario and Kirby standing together, facing a new unknown character:
We here at N-Europe speculate that this could be the storyline to Brawl's supposedly much more fleshed out one-player mode, which has thus far remained under-wraps. Stay tuned - we'll be keeping our eyes securely peeled for more details as they're released.
